Bangus Valley: The Sanskrit Valley

Bangus Valley is the most pristine offbeat place in Kashmir. Situated towards the Kupwara district of Kashmir, this lush meadow valley is famous for its serene and raw landscape which mostly is dominated by grassy and wavy meadows along the famous river Mawri.

Places to Visit In Bungus Valley:

(Small Bangus): A smaller valley known as "Lokut Bangus" (Small Bungus) lies on the north-eastern side of the main valley. Both the valleys comprise level green meadows surrounded by low lying mountains covered with dense pine forests (Budloo)
(Big Bangus): The vast green plains look like natural tapestries, as if spread by divine hands. Extreme natural beauty, serenity, splendor are few synonyms associated with the majestic Valley of Bungus.
Reshwari: Reshwari is a historic temple in the Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir. It is one of the most popular pilgrimage sites in the region and is dedicated to the Hindu goddess Kali.
Drangyari: Drangyari is a village located in the Kargil district of Jammu and Kashmir, India. It is situated at an altitude of 12,000 feet above sea level and is known for its picturesque landscape and unique culture.
Bhadrakali Temple: The Bhadrakali Temple is famous for its unique architectural style, which combines elements of both Dravidian and Hoysala styles. Main deity: The temple's main deity, Goddess Bhadrakali, is depicted with eight hands, each holding a different weapon, and is adorned with jewels and garlands.
